Central Activities represents the cost of central corporate functions
and the investment costs of new development opportunities. Cost growth
of £2.8m in the half principally reflects the first stages of the
new development opportunities; as previously disclosed, these costs are
expected to total approximately £5m in the current year and a similar
level next year.
